Q: What is the Cardinal Conclave?
A: The Cardinal Conclave is a section-wide gathering of nearly 1000 Arrowmen across section E8. It involves all six lodges in our section, spanning almost all of North Carolina besides parts of the southwest and northeast. These six lodges include Tsoiotsi Tsogalli #70, Occoneechee #104, Croatan #117, Wahissa #118, Nayawin Rar #296, and Klahican #331. Conclave is hosted by a “service lodge” at their designated Boy Scout camp sometime in April of each year. The purpose of the Cardinal Conclave is to train our section Arrowmen and leaders through service, fellowship, and training. The Cardinal Conclave is made possible by the hard work and planning of the section officers elected from the previous Conclave, various lodge officers, and the “service lodge”. 

Q: What happens at the Cardinal Conclave?
A: Various events, competitions, and training are jam-packed into a weekend of non-stop fun and fellowship. On Friday and Saturday nights, the shows will take place! These shows are full of singing, dancing, performance, and spirit. On Saturday morning, OAX will take place, where exhibitors from all sorts of different backgrounds will share their careers, passions, and experiences with the Arrowmen of Section E8. In the evening, recreational activities will take place, consisting of sports competitions, games, and a patch auction. We also host the annual section elections, in which candidates for the section office run and are elected for the upcoming section year. After the show on Saturday night, Cardnival will commence, a carnival-style celebration with fair games, snacks, and fellowship. The weekend closes off with a final show on Sunday morning, in which we will recognize the lodges with awards.

A: There is NO doubt that our Cardinal Conclave is the most hype event in the nation. Throughout the duration of the weekend, you will gain valuable life skills, insight into leadership roles, and life-long friends. The training, activities, and events we offer are high-quality, memorable, and something you will NOT regret. You do NOT want to miss this fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills, participate in friendly competitions and athletics, and connect with Arrowmen from across the entire state. Q: How can I register for the Cardinal Conclave, and what’s the fee?
A: Registration for Conclave is now open, here. The base fee for Conclave 2025 is $50. This fee includes meals and an event patch. Your lodge may apply a surcharge to cover extra memorabilia items, transportation, or other fees relating to the lodge delegation. Upon arrival and throughout the weekend, section memorabilia, snacks, and other items will be available for purchase.  

Q: When is the next Conclave?
A: Our next Conclave, hosted by Tsoiotsi Tsogalli Lodge #70, will be located at Cherokee Scout Reservation on April 11-13th, 2025.
